Commission Terms

Project and Payment Terms          

Once I receive your message through my website I will get in touch to discuss size, color, space, and medium. You may also provide a reference image of mine similar to the style you desire.

I'll review your requirements, and we'll finalize the details.

We'll agree on the size, price, and any additional requirements. Then, we'll sign a brief agreement and you'll make a 50% non-refundable deposit of the final price via PayPal.

I'll start creating your painting and send you photos of the work in progress.

Once the painting is finished, I'll send you a final image for approval. Upon approval, you'll pay the final 50% fee for the painting and shipping costs.

Finally, the painting will be shipped to you. Full payment is required before shipping.

DETAILS

Materials: I use high quality Golden Acrylic and Liquitex paints. Works are finished and sealed with satin or gloss varnish to protect the painting.

Canvas: I use quality stretched canvases which are carefully hand stretched by professional canvas stretchers. Stapled at the back using stainless steel staples.

Framing: The commission quoted price does not cover framing. Additional fees apply or a floater frame.

Sides: The sides of the piece can be painted solid white, or any other color. This is all your choice.

Hanging: I will install hanging hardware on the back of your painting so it is ready to hang.  

Copyright Terms

Upon full payment, the client shall obtain ownership of the final artwork for personal enjoyment with a Certificate of Authenticity.

The purchased piece of art, as is all art by Tarra Lu, is legally protected by US copyright laws and may NOT be copied and used for reproduction in ANY manner without the explicit written authorization of Tarra Lu. The artist retains the full copyright of all commissioned work and may reproduce the image for other purposes.

Cancellations

If at any point during the painting process, the buyer decides not to proceed, the artist retains the painting along with the 50% non-refundable deposit already paid.

If upon delivery, the buyer opts not to keep the painting, they have a 7-day window to return it, covering the shipping and packaging costs. Upon receiving the returned painting, the buyer can use the paid amount towards other available works, excluding commissions.

In case the project is canceled before any work begins, the deposit will be refunded to the client, minus a 10% processing fee.

Shipping

Shipping of the painting is at additional cost depending on size and weight. You are welcome to come and pick it up from me privately at no cost.
